Beginning to Pinto Painting

This is a commission horse, I thought I'd take some time to take in progress pictures along with some tips... :) 

First off, here's how I start to map out the markings. (to the right)

Pencil is very easy to remove (provided you do not use wax-based pencils)- by licking a finger... His brother is farther along, Rock, and they are both "mostly portraits".

Introduction

There has been a flood of other people creating a blog, so I thought I'd join! But then the question was- what do I post? Photography, paintings, in-progress things, complaints, sculptures, horse pictures...? How about all of it? My life isn't all that exciting, but it can be like a little diary/scrapbook I guess!
